Siren 85 dB/SLIM Sounder

Downloads

The Argina 85 dB addressable siren, or SLIM Sounder, can be used on the bidirectional fire detection loops of an Argina GMC+ addressable fire alarm control panel and can generate different tones.

  • Siren powered by fire detection loop
  • No extra cabling
  • High sound level
  • Low current consumption
  • 4 tones
  • Wide dispersion pattern
  • Integral test facility
  • Simple installation

A maximum of 48 sirens can be connected to a loop, bearing in mind that a loop may have a maximum of 124 addresses.

The siren can generate the following tones:

  • Slow whoop : rising from 500 Hz to 1200 Hz in 3 seconds, followed by a 0.5 second pause
  • Sinusoidal tone: a signal rising from 500 Hz to 1200 Hz, then descending to 500 Hz, etc.
  • Continuous tone: 670 Hz
  • Intermittent tone: signal for 0.9 seconds, then a 0.9 second pause.

All the loop sirens on an Argina GMC+ addressable fire alarm control panel, including AR/SI-ad (103 dB) loop sirens, are synchronised automatically.

The tones sounded in given situations are programmed in the Argina GMC+ addressable fire alarm control panel. The address number is programmed remotely using an Argina LaserBox. The LaserBox can also test sirens in the same way as detectors are tested: if the siren and its communication with the control panel is in order, the siren sounds four short beeps at reduced volume.
